2025 Reading Stats

New year, new book stats!

But before moving forward, let’s look back at the year that has passed. I did something new when it comes to tracking my reading. At first I only did Goodreads – because that is where everybody is – and then I realized that I wanted more stats. So, I added another tracker app: Storygraph. Now, I am in no way, shape, nor form affiliated with the app but I do absolutely love using it. It is a lot more comprehensive and simpler than Goodreads.

Here are the stats:

Considering how busy my every day life can be, 21 really lengthy (with the occasional short ones) books, I am proud of how much I have read. (Mind you there are books here that I have pretty much “hate read” and I hate that I did but here we are).

I don’t really know what to say: it just looks like rhythm of the books that I chose throughout the year just got darker. I don’t know what it says about me BUT I just did like those books that I chose. But also the weather, I guess, also dictates what I read.

I guess, I am a mood reader; and the weather dictates my mood.

I think I should read more books

I guess I am pretty holistic as a reader: I am willing to dip my toes in to whatever genre. Some of it irks me but you know, I am very much willing to try.

I’d say that I am a generous but rational giver of stars.

Yes, I do have a 0.25. Initially that book was a DNF, but I did give it another chance and I was able to bump it up to a 0.25. (I love how Storygraph gives me this choice).
