I have read and written far less than I had hoped and wished for in the past year. I mean, I did some things in 2021 but not as much as I had hoped for. I did pick up some hobbies here and there but I do hope that those hobbies will actually stick.
And I would need some help from something that will make me stick with my plans this year.
So, as basic as this sounds… I am sticking with my bullet journal (it’s more of a blank notebook more than anything). I am going to passionately fill the pages with plans and really push through with what has been written down.
So here is what I plan on putting on it… aside from the daily agenda, of course.
- A book challenge
- Not really strict – this will only be about books I have read or the ones that I have impulsively put on my “to be read” pile
- OR get inspired by other blogs and websites and incorporate them to put on my own
- This challenge isn’t put here because I don’t read, its just that I really think that I have to read more than usual
- A specific theme for each month → no plans yet, but it will happen
- It would be nice if there is something that would jump right at me that would represent the particular month, otherwise I tend to bits of designing during the entirety of the month.
- Deadlines → believe it or not, I do appreciate deadlines, it makes things a bit more put together…
- This will have to include what I have to write and publish for this one.
- A reflection piece on every page that I will try to fill up every day
- This could be a prayer I had going on for the day
- Something that stood out that day → something weird, a possible prompt
- A habit tracker, just so that I know how much I have done.
- I think this will end up being more of a reading tracker. NOT that I need to get in to the habit of reading – I just need to know where I have stopped reading in a particular book that I am reading, which is one in many.
This list made me realize that things are a little bit simple if not mundane in my everyday life but, I guess it could work and we have to start from somewhere.
Even though it’s a planner/journal, we can’t really fully plan out every single day to the last detail, so we will just let it roll.
